Blue Lace Agate

Blue lace agate is a popular pale blue lacy banded agate with bands of white and darker blue. This agate was found in Namibia, Africa. This lace agate has been found with artifacts dating back to the Neolithic time (stone age). Agate consists of micro-crystalline quartz, or chalcedony, in layered bands that are deposited in open pockets in the rock. Blue lace agate tends to form in long layers, filling cracks in the rock, rather than small pockets. This type of agate is called a seam agate.

If you like this product, you may also like sowbelly agate (vein amethyst) or bacon opal, both of which exhibit the same banded pattern, but with their own unique colors and patterns.
