Coo-nah Marble

Coo-nah Marble is a Heather Canyon Exclusive new material from near Milford, Utah. This marble formed when a magma intruded into limestone, and the fluids of the magma reacted with the limestone. Several mines are in this area, especially copper and gold mines. The bands in this marble include bands of the copper minerals cuprite (reddish color) and tenorite (magnetic gray) with the lime-green calcium-aluminum silicate epidote. The fluid interaction has created a beautiful swirling pattern in this rock.  Copper minerals are known for their use in alleviating pain in muscles and joints.

Coo-nah is the Ute word for fire. The Ute are indigenous to the Great Basin area of Utah
