Monarch Jasper

Monarch “Jasper” is a rare material that was found “somewhere on the San Rafael Swell” in Emery County, Utah, about 50 years ago. It is orange sandstone that was brecciated and filled with a black material – probably basalt. It is porous and soft but still takes a nice polish.
