Sodalite

Sodalite, in the group of blue gemstones, is a rich royal blue mineral widely enjoyed as an ornamental stone.  This great blue rock is highly regarded in the world of rocks, minerals, and gemstones in the US and elsewhere. Most Sodalite used as jewelry gemstones are mottled light, medium and/or dark blue, rarely with purple or magenta spots. White veins, typically Calcite or Nepheline, that appear as streaks on some surfaces are common.
