Chrysoprase

Chrysoprase is a gem variety of chalcedony with trace amounts of nickel silicates, rare minerals that form from the weathering of nickel-rich serpentinites or other rocks that have been metamorphosed from oceanic rock. The candy apple green color is very striking and distinct. Black manganese dendrites occur throughout.

Chrysoprase jewelry may fade if exposed to sunlight or heat, but may be restored with a moist cotton ball.

Chyrsoprase is used to encourage optimism and joy.
