Mtorolite

Mtorolite is chrome chalcedony from Zimbabwe near the town of Mutorashanga, a small mining town. Mtorolite is similar to chrysophrase but the green color is due to chromium rather than nickel.

You may also see it called mtrorodite or matrolite.

Chalcedony is microcrystalline silica, much like agate, and takes a beautiful polish.
