Rose Quartz

Rose quartz is a semi-precious gemstone with a pale pink color. The pink is due to trace amounts of titanium of manganese in the crystal. Large crystals of rose quartz are formed when magma cools very slowly, allowing the crystals plenty of time to grow. These large crystals are found in pegmatites. Rose quartz can be found around the world, but one of the most common places to find it is in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Rose quartz is the typical crystal associated with the heart chakra, and is thought to provide positive energy and healing.
